Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the JOURNAL OF EDUCATION AND SOCIAL SCIENCES undergo a thorough peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of each article prior to publication. The peer review process consists of several stages as outlined below:
- Initial Editorial Assessment (Desk Evaluation)
Once a manuscript is submitted through the OJS system, the editorial team conducts an initial check to assess the completeness of the documents, the relevance of the topic to the journal’s scope, and adherence to author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be immediately rejected or returned to the authors for revision before proceeding to the next stage. - Assignment of Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The journal implements a double-blind review system, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to maintain objectivity. - Peer Review by Reviewers
Reviewers conduct an in-depth evaluation of the manuscript, assessing the originality, relevance, clarity of arguments, validity of methodology, accuracy of data analysis, and the overall contribution to the field. Reviewers provide constructive feedback, suggestions for improvement, and recommendations regarding the manuscript. - Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ reports and recommendations, the editor will decide whether the manuscript is:- Accepted without revision
- Accepted with minor revision
- Accepted with major revision
- Rejected
- Revision by Authors
If revisions are required, authors must address the comments and suggestions from the reviewers and editorial team, then resubmit the revised manuscript for further evaluation. This process may be repeated until the manuscript is deemed suitable for publication. - Re-Review and Finalization
The revised manuscript may be re-evaluated by the reviewers or solely by the editor, depending on the nature of the revisions (minor/major). Once all requirements are met, the editor will proceed with the editing and publication preparation. - Editing and Publication
Accepted manuscripts undergo final editing (copyediting, layout, and proofreading) before being published online in the relevant journal issue.
The entire peer review process is conducted confidentially and professionally to uphold the standards and integrity of scientific publication. The average review process time in this journal is approximately [3 weeks/months, fill in according to policy]. Authors will receive transparent updates regarding the progress of their manuscripts throughout the process.
